Though good academic research is very worth-while, Marketing Minds is not a site for academic theory on marketing and branding. Instead, we have created a repository of insights and techniques, drawing on decades of collective experience running marketing teams and heading up marketing organisations.
Our Perspective on Marketing
We view marketing as critical to the success of any business. Marketing is the major driver of competitiveness and of competitive advantage.
We therefore see marketing as having a leadership role in business. We do NOT see marketing simply as a service function to the rest of the company, and we think of it as much more than marketing communications.

If you are from an FMCG or perhaps a Finance or Telco industry background, people who do some of the stuff we talk about may have titles such as brand managers, category managers, market managers, sector managers, segment managers, or business development managers. It's all marketing and if you have such a title, you should find the site useful.
