Corporate Identity

Corporate identity helps to build the corporate brand. The difference between corporate image and corporate identity is that image is both planned and unplanned, visual and verbal, a market perception. Identity is all planned, all visual and a market influence.

The components of corporate identity include identity design, communication design, environmental design and product and industrial design.

Identity design includes the company logotype; stationery systems; color/typography; and basic graphic standards and style.

Communication design includes the literature design system; presentation design and templates; Internet design and templates; and lead-generating media design guides for advertising and direct mail.

Environmental design includes exhibitions and signage; way-finding signage; vehicles; interior design/decorations; and architecture coordination.

Product design includes physical product (e.g. product enclosures, industrial design), packaging, and software (graphical user interface, icons).

Corporate identity integrates design into one voice and provides a cohesive visual style, a "design harmony." It helps to raise awareness and improve the image of the company.
